Initiators and participants are thus committing administrative offenses and you cannot rely on the police to tolerate them always and everywhere.
Car parades pose an increased risk of accidents or injuries, even at low speeds, due to the small distances between the participating vehicles, dangerous proximity to passers-by and other road users, distraction of the person driving the vehicle through noise, etc. In addition, especially in the case of convertibles, there is always a risk of accidents and injuries. Red lights are taboo
Running red lights or drinking and driving are absolutely taboo. The police will consistently intervene, especially in the event of endangerment, serious traffic violations or criminal offenses. Always keep a sufficient distance from the vehicle in front of you to avoid accidents. Stay at a safe distance from each other to avoid sudden braking maneuvers.
Do not lean out of the window
If you lean out of the window or sunroof to be able to wave the big flags better, or even sit on the hood or roof, you not only endanger yourself and your health, but also your insurance claims in the event of an accident.
Fan merchandise
Drivers should only use safe fan merchandise on their vehicles that complies with road traffic licensing regulations. The mirror sock can become a problem, especially for drivers of newer models. Exterior mirrors with integrated indicators and the existing mirror surfaces must not be covered. Assistance systems must also not be impaired.
Problem flags
Flags wedged between the window and bodywork are popular fan paraphernalia, but an underestimated danger for pedestrians.
Remove fan gimmicks
Fan gimmicks, for example flags wedged between the window and bodywork, should be removed immediately after the end of the journey. Otherwise, they make it easier to break into the vehicle.
Clear view
A clear view is just as important. Windows must not be covered by interior decorations.
Buckle up
Also, don't forget to buckle up! Otherwise, celebrating soccer fans could suffer life-threatening injuries even at low speeds.
Noise level
Make sure that the noise level of your vehicle does not disturb others. Avoid excessive honking and loud music.
Communication
Maintain communication with each other. Use indicators and other signals to make your intentions clear.
Police take a close look
Relevant aspects for police intervention are the time and size of the motorcade, the behavior of the participants and spectators as well as the hazards involved.
No disruptions
A motorcade constitutes "excessive road use" and always requires permission from the road traffic authority.
