Hückelhoven - A 16-year-old was on his way to school on his e-scooter on Monday morning (December 16) when he drove onto Am Landabsatz road at around 7.45 a.m. and entered the Am Landabsatz / Sophiastrasse traffic circle. As he had just passed the first exit, a dark Renault entered the traffic circle coming from Sophiastraße / Mokwastraße. The front of the car then hit the rear of the e-scooter, causing the student to fall onto the road.
The car driver asked how the boy was feeling. After the boy assured him that everything was fine, the man left the scene of the accident. The teenager later discovered that he was slightly injured after all.
The driver of the Renault, who was accompanied by a woman, was around 60 years old, about 150 centimetres tall and appeared to be Asian. He had a strong build, a dark beard and was wearing a dark polo shirt and a vest.
