Übach-Palenberg-Marienberg - Last Sunday (August 17), a 74-year-old man was assaulted on an allotment site in the Schley. The allotment gardener was in his garden plot at around 10.15 a.m. when he was pushed from behind by a previously unknown perpetrator, punched several times and finally tied up. The senior citizen was then left on the terrace of a garden shed. The perpetrator then fled.
The unknown man was around 180 centimetres tall and had a slim build. He spoke High German, was wearing a jacket, black jeans and black sneakers at the time of the crime and was masked with a black balaclava.
The police are looking for witnesses who may have made suspicious observations at the time of the crime in question that could be connected to the facts of the case.
