A 17-year-old young woman from Langenfeld Eifel was waiting on the platform on the Ostpromenade at around 11.15 p.m. on Monday, August 19, when a previously unknown man took two stones from the rail bed and threw them in her direction. The stones narrowly missed the young woman, but hit the glass pane of a shelter, which shattered. After the crime, the perpetrator fled on foot. He was about 25 to 30 years old, appeared to be from southern Europe, had a slim build, dark short curly hair and was about 170 to 175 centimeters tall. He was wearing red jogging pants, white shoes and a red and white T-shirt. He had a plastic bag tied around his left arm.
