Wegberg - Last Friday (August 23) afternoon, there was a traffic accident in which a boy suffered minor injuries.
At around 4.30 pm, the 10-year-old and a friend were riding their bicycles on the sidewalk of Fußbachstraße coming from Grenzlandring in the direction of the city center. When they wanted to pass the parking lot exit near a bakery, they noticed a white car in which two young women were sitting. When the children slowed down, the driver signaled to them by hand that they should continue. The boys stopped at first, but then drove on. At that moment, the car also started moving again and hit the wheel of the 10-year-old, who then fell onto the road.
The passenger of the car got out briefly, offered the boy sweets and then got back into the vehicle, which then drove off towards the city center.
