Übach-Palenberg-Boscheln - On Monday (November 4), a hit-and-run involving an e-scooter driver occurred on Mittelstraße.
At around 1.45 p.m., a woman was driving her car on Südring and entered a traffic circle, which she left in the direction of Mittelstraße. As the woman wanted to stop, she activated the right blinker and slowed down. Before she came to a standstill, a previously unknown man hit the rear of the vehicle with his e-scooter. After a brief dispute, the unidentified man left the scene of the accident in the direction of Südring on his small electric vehicle.
He was around 180 centimetres tall, slim and appeared to be from the south, possibly Turkish. He had long black hair, which he had tied into a plait. He was wearing light-colored trousers and a black imitation leather bomber jacket. His e-scooter was also black.
The police are now looking for this man to clarify the facts of the case.
