An 83-year-old woman from Hückelhoven let a stranger into her house on Steinstraße in Ratheim on Wednesday, July 16, between 12:10 and 12:18. She pretended to be an employee of the medical service. After a phone call, the stranger left the house in a hurry. The 83-year-old then noticed that her cupboards in the bedroom had been ransacked and that jewelry and a coin collection had been stolen.
The previously unknown woman was 170 to 175 centimetres tall and between 45 and 55 years old. She had a darker skin color and short, curly black hair. She was corpulent. She was wearing a white T-shirt and white disposable gloves.
