On Monday evening (16 September), there was a traffic accident on Höngener Weg in which a pedestrian was slightly injured.
At around 8.50 pm, the 46-year-old man had approached four moped riders who were leaving skid marks and doing so-called "wheelies" in the parking lot of a supermarket and asked them to leave the supermarket area. When the man from Selfkänter tried to call the police after a physical altercation on his phone, a two-wheeler rider approached the man coming from Suestrastraße and collided with him, causing both the moped rider and the 46-year-old to fall. The scooter rider then got back on his bike and fled along Höngener Weg in the direction of Höngen. He was about 180 centimetres tall, dressed in black and wearing a black motorcycle helmet with small wings glued to it.
Who can provide information about the identity of the moped rider? The police traffic commissioner's office in Heinsberg is responsible in this case, phone 02452 920 0.
