Selfkant-Millen-Bruch - On Wednesday morning (October 23), there was a traffic accident on the B 56 n in which one person was slightly injured.
At around 08:10 a.m., a 74-year-old Dutchman and his wife of the same age were driving his car onto the B 56 n in the direction of the Netherlands at the Tüddern junction. Immediately behind the couple's vehicle was a silver car with Polish license plates, which was being driven by a male driver. According to the Dutchmen, the car was constantly driving close to them in the single-lane section after the slip road and was flashing its headlights. When the road became two lanes, the vehicle immediately overtook at speed. This startled the 74-year-old, who steered to the right and collided with the crash barrier. The overtaking vehicle, which is registered in Poland, continued to drive away in the direction of the Netherlands. There was no contact between the vehicles. The passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and had to be treated in hospital.
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide relevant information about the fleeing silver car.
