Übach-Palenberg-Marienberg - At around 8.45 p.m. on Tuesday evening (December 17), an armed robbery took place at a discount grocery store on Grenzweg.
A previously unknown perpetrator threatened an employee with a knife and demanded that she hand over cash. After the employee handed over the money to the stranger, he fled in an unknown direction.
The perpetrator was around 20 to 21 years old, about 165 to 170 centimeters tall and thin. He had an African appearance, short dark hair, spoke English and was wearing jogging pants, dark outerwear and dark shoes. He also masked himself with a black scarf, which he pulled up over his nose.
The police are now looking for witnesses to the incident.
