Hückelhoven-Hilfarth - On Saturday afternoon (August 31), two residents were robbed in their apartments in Callstraße between 4 pm and 5 pm by two previously unknown women. In one case, a suspect pretended to be an employee of the property management company. The pensioner let the woman into her apartment and sat on the balcony with the unknown woman for a few minutes. Shortly afterwards, the alleged property management employee left the apartment again. The 86-year-old then discovered that cash and jewelry were missing. The perpetrator was around 18 to 20 years old, about 170 centimetres tall and had long black hair tied in a plait. In the second case, another suspect came to another apartment belonging to an 85-year-old woman. She assumed that the woman standing outside her door was a carer. Here, too, they sat down on the balcony and the theft of jewelry was later discovered. The suspect in this case was around 40 years old and spoke German with an accent.
The two women may have been involved in the crime alternately. While one of them distracted the occupant, the other gained access to the apartment unnoticed and stole the valuables.
