Erkelenz - On Friday afternoon (January 10), a street robbery occurred in the area of Krefelder Straße / Antwerpener Straße.
At around 4 p.m., an 11-year-old boy was walking on Krefelder Straße when he encountered two previously unknown youths on the same sidewalk coming from the direction of Schulring. The boy described how he was initially pelted with eggs by one of the strangers. The two suspects then brought him to the ground and kicked him. They then searched him for valuables, stole a cell phone case, in-ear headphones and cash and fled in the direction of a fast food restaurant.
According to the child's description, the robbers were both around 14 to 15 years old and around 175 to 180 centimetres tall. One of the teenagers had blonde hair, wore gold glasses and was thin in build. He was dressed in black and wore black Nike shoes. His companion had a southern appearance and was wearing black Adidas shoes.
