Übach-Palenberg-Übach - On October 31 (Thursday) at 1.20 pm, a 31-year-old man called the police. He had been threatened with a knife by two men on his way to work shortly before. The two strangers had demanded that he hand over his rucksack, which the man was carrying. The incident took place on Carolus-Magnus-Allee. The perpetrators had stopped at a seating area. After the victim handed over the rucksack, the robbers made off in the direction of the playground and Poststrasse. The rucksack was found in the playground the same evening without the cash it contained.

The two men were around 190 centimetres tall and had a southern appearance. Both had short dark hair. One of the two was of strong build and wore a full beard, the second man was much slimmer and wore a "three-day beard". They were wearing a black and a blue jacket.

The Geilenkirchen Police Criminal Investigation Department is now looking for anyone who may have seen the perpetrators shortly before or after the crime. Please call 02452 920 0 or use the direct link: https://polizei.nrw/artikel/anzeige-hinweis
