Hückelhoven - On Tuesday evening (19 August) at around 6.55 p.m., a previously unknown youth threw an incendiary device into a green area in the parking lot of the town hall square. The planting then caught fire. The perpetrator then fled in the direction of Melanchtonstraße.
Passers-by were able to fight the flames with a fire extinguisher before the arriving fire department took over the final extinguishing work.
The teenager was around 14 to 17 years old and was wearing a red T-shirt and red shorts at the time of the crime. He was also wearing dark shoes and a black baseball cap with red accents.
