Erkelenz - A young woman from Hückelhoven was injured in a traffic accident at the Aachener Straße / B 57 intersection on the evening of September 3 (Wednesday). The other party involved in the accident fled the scene.
The 18-year-old was driving her car on Aachener Straße in the direction of the highway at around 6.45 pm. At the junction of Aachener Straße / B 57, she got into one of the two left-turn lanes as she wanted to continue her journey towards Baal and waited for the traffic lights to change to green. When she wanted to drive off at the green light, she said she stalled the engine. At that moment, another vehicle hit her car and then fled in an unknown direction. The car is said to have been relatively large and had company lettering on the side with green and orange lettering.
