A 52-year-old woman from Gangelt was approached by a male person on Wednesday, September 5, at around 3.15 p.m. when she was on Kreuzstraße in Birgden. After a brief verbal argument, the man first pushed the driver of a wheelchair cab, who was also present, and then the woman from Gangelt, causing her to fall to the ground and injure herself. He then ran off in the direction of the cemetery. The perpetrator was around 175 to 180 centimetres tall, wore a blue-green T-shirt, brown trousers and had a striking gait.
