An 82-year-old man from Übach-Palenberg visited a pub near his home address on the street Am Rimburger Acker with his walker on Saturday (August 3). There he struck up a conversation with a man who offered to repair his television. The stranger then accompanied the senior citizen to his home address in an apartment building and looked at the television. After the visitor had left the apartment again, the pensioner said he noticed that a bag was missing. It had been in his walker, which he had left in the hallway. He looked for the bag at around 5.30 p.m. and found it again in the elevator of the building. However, he discovered that a two-figure sum of money was missing from the purse. The stranger is described by the senior citizen as being around 180 centimeters tall. He had short blond hair and a Western European appearance. The man was wearing beige jogging trousers and a beige polo shirt.
