A 72-year-old man from Hückelhoven was driving along a country lane on the Kapbusch road in Brachelen in his capacity as an authorized hunter on Monday, 7 July at around 11.40 a.m. when he noticed an unauthorized driver. An argument initially broke out between the two men. When the 72-year-old wanted to show his badge, the stranger drove off and rolled over the top of his foot. The 72-year-old gamekeeper also injured his shoulder. The unknown driver was around 70 years old, had a well-groomed appearance and may have been wearing glasses. His passenger was between 20 and 30 years old and dark-skinned. Both were traveling in a black car with Geilenkirchen license plates (GK-).
The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information on the identity of the man or who may have observed something in connection with the incident.
